Ground penetrating radar is a geophysical method that uses antennas to transmit and receive high-frequency electromagnetic waves to detect the characteristics and distribution patterns of materials inside a medium. Infer the spatial location, structure, morphology, and burial depth of underground media based on the waveform, amplitude intensity, and temporal variation characteristics of received electromagnetic waves.
There are various names for ground penetrating radar, such as ground detection radar, underground radar, geological radar, pulse radar, pipeline detection radar, ground penetrating radar, etc.
Ground penetrating radar is an effective means to detect underground targets. Compared with other conventional underground detection methods, it has the advantages of fast detection speed, continuous detection process, high resolution, convenient and flexible operation, and low detection cost.
