Volatility Technology traveled to Zhengzhou to attend the technical exchange conference on hazard detection for river and embankment defenses.

On February 20, Volatility Technology traveled to Zhengzhou to attend the “Technical Exchange Conference on Hazard Detection for River and Flood‑Control Embankments,” co‑hosted by the Disaster Prevention and Emergency Rescue Equipment Technology Branch of the China Water Conservancy Enterprise Association and the Henan Yellow River Administration. The conference aimed to explore the latest technologies for detecting embankment hazards, advance industry‑wide technological progress, and ensure flood‑control safety along rivers.

In the morning, our company, together with other participants, visited the Hegangkou River‑Condition Observatory, the Heixia Yan Control and Guidance Project, and the Lin Zexu River‑Management Plaza. At the Hegangkou River‑Condition Observatory, we gained an overview of the Yellow River’s general conditions in Kaifeng, a summary of the dike‑protection works, and the historical breach records along the Kaifeng section. At the Heixia Yan Control and Guidance Project, we learned about the specific procedures of the five major dike‑reconstruction efforts on the Yellow River in Kaifeng since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, as well as the achievements made in modern river‑management initiatives. Finally, at the Lin Zexu River‑Management Cultural Plaza, we explored the origins of the Zhangwan Embankment Closure and the Lin Gong Dyke, and examined Lin Zexu’s pioneering ideas on river management and water conservancy.

In the afternoon, a symposium was held, during which our company joined water‑conservation experts, research institutions, and corporate representatives from across the country to discuss the current status and future prospects of embankment‑hazard detection technologies. At the event, our company provided a detailed overview of several radar‑based detection devices independently developed by Wave Technology, including… BD-GPR-U high-depth ground-penetrating radar, BD-BRD borehole radar, and BD-GPR-3D three-dimensional radar Moreover, these devices, with their outstanding performance and diverse application scenarios, garnered significant attention and keen interest from the attendees. Through this exchange event, we not only broadened our technical horizons but also strengthened our ties with other organizations in the industry, laying a solid foundation for the further research, development, and deployment of cutting-edge technologies.

This technical exchange on hazard detection for river and flood‑control embankments represents a valuable opportunity for our company to learn and collaborate. Taking this as an impetus, Wave Technology will continue to increase its investment in R&D, steadily enhance its capabilities in embankment‑hazard detection, and contribute further to ensuring the safety of river flood‑control infrastructure.
