Volatility Technology made a remarkable appearance at the 4th Northwest Symposium on Geomechanics and Engineering.
From July 29 to 31, 2025, the Fourth Northwest Symposium on Rock Mechanics and Engineering was successfully held at the Kunlun Hotel in Urumqi, Xinjiang. The symposium was guided by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering and the Xinjiang Association for Science and Technology, co-organized by the rock mechanics and engineering societies of Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Gansu, and Hebei, and hosted by 14 institutions, including Xinjiang Agricultural University. It brought together more than 200 experts, scholars, technical professionals, and graduate student representatives from across the country.
As a high-tech enterprise that has long been dedicated to the field of ground-penetrating radar technology and integrates R&D, manufacturing, sales, and service, it is also a specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative SME. Fluctuation Technology We were honored to send representatives to this prestigious event, where we joined industry peers in exploring the latest research findings and practical insights in areas such as theoretical innovations in geomechanics, geological hazard prevention and control, and the application of new materials in geotechnical engineering.
At the opening ceremony, the supervisor of the society expounded on the significance of the conference in responding to the “Western Development Strategy,” emphasizing its value as a platform for exchanging ideas on pressing challenges such as the geotechnical and geological hazards specific to Northwest China. The subsequent presentations focused on key topics including landslides in the western region and permafrost mechanics. In addition, the conference featured 15 thematic sessions, with numerous presentations and a graduate‑student forum, providing participants with a dedicated forum for discussing innovations in geotechnical engineering.
At the conference, our company’s representative presented Volatility Technology’s independently developed and manufactured… BD-GPR-U series high‑depth ground-penetrating radar, BD-BRD borehole radar, and BD-GPR-200 ground‑penetrating radar These devices can characterize the physical properties of Northwest China’s unique rock and soil, as well as permafrost, loess, deserts, and other landforms, providing a scientific basis for engineering foundation design. They also enable efficient identification of potential geological hazards in steep slopes, deeply buried tunnels, and similar areas, thereby ensuring the safety of infrastructure projects in the region. Furthermore, they can assess the subsurface conditions of rock‑and‑soil cultural relics along the Silk Road, establishing a robust technological safeguard for heritage preservation. Thanks to these practical applications, they have successfully captured the attention of conference participants.
Through this conference, BoDong Technology has gained a comprehensive understanding of cutting-edge developments in areas such as special geotechnical conditions and geological hazard prevention in Northwest China, and has identified clear directions for the application of new materials and intelligent detection technologies in geotechnical engineering. At the same time, the company’s brand influence in the geotechnical testing sector has continued to strengthen, fostering synergistic progress in deepening technical expertise and expanding market reach.
Looking ahead, Volatility Technology will ramp up R&D investment, enhance the operational performance of its equipment in applications such as permafrost exploration and loess engineering, and foster deep integration between ground-penetrating radar technology and the specific needs of geotechnical engineering in Northwest China, thereby providing robust technical support for the safe and efficient construction of major infrastructure projects in the region.
