The landslide evacuation at the exit of the Gaoyuan Tunnel in Lichuan on September 20 was selected as one of the Top Ten Typical Cases of Successful Geological Disaster Evacuations in 2023.
On May 11, the Department of Geological Exploration Management of the Ministry of Natural Resources released the Top Ten Typical Cases of Successful Disaster Avoidance in National Geological Hazards for 2023, and the “9·20” landslide‑avoidance case at the exit of the Gaoyuan Tunnel in Lichuan was among those selected.

The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing and Urban–Rural Development have issued a notice to launch the first round of selection for urban renewal demonstration projects, designating fifteen pilot cities.
The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing and Urban–Rural Development recently jointly issued the “Notice on Launching Demonstration Projects for Urban Renewal,” which stipulates that, starting in 2024, the central government will adopt innovative approaches to support selected cities in carrying out urban renewal pilot programs. Priority will be given to upgrading and renovating urban infrastructure, further enhancing urban functions, elevating urban quality, and improving living environments, with the aim of fostering “good communities and good districts.” This initiative seeks to shift urban infrastructure development from a focus on mere availability to an emphasis on quality, address pressing concerns and challenges faced by the public, and contribute to high-quality urban development.

Regulations on the Qualification Management of Geological Disaster Prevention and Control Units
The "Regulations on the Qualification Management of Geological Disaster Prevention and Control Units" were approved at the second meeting of the Ministry of Natural Resources on October 27, 2022, and are hereby announced and shall come into effect on January 1, 2023.
