Concrete‑structure radar can detect, at the concrete surface, the locations of internal reinforcement, metal conduits, nonmetallic pipelines, cables, and other features. It also provides information on structural defects or anomalies and cover thickness, with a maximum detection depth of 0.5 m. Radar data can be displayed in real time on the screen, or transmitted wirelessly via Wi‑Fi to a computer for three‑dimensional imaging, enabling a more comprehensive assessment of the concrete’s internal condition.
It can be applied in engineering fields such as construction quality inspection and residential renovation or remodeling.
