Bodu Technology made a stunning appearance at the 4th Northwest Geomechanics and Engineering Academic Conference
The 4th Northwest Geomechanics and Engineering Academic Conference was successfully held at the Xinjiang Kunlun Hotel in Urumqi from July 29th to 31st, 2025. The conference was guided by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering and the Xinjiang Association for Science and Technology, and jointly organized by the rock mechanics and engineering societies of five provinces and regions: Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Gansu, and Hebei. It was hosted by Xinjiang Agricultural University and 14 other institutions, bringing together over 200 experts, scholars, technicians, and graduate student representatives from across the country.
As a high-tech enterprise, specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprise, and innovative small and medium-sized enterprise deeply engaged in ground penetrating radar technology, integrating R&D, production, sales, and service, Bodu Technology was fortunate to send representatives to this grand event, exploring the latest research results and practical wisdom in areas such as geomechanics theory innovation, geological disaster prevention and control, and the application of new materials in geotechnical engineering with industry partners.

At the opening ceremony, the chairman of the board of supervisors of the society elaborated on the significance of the conference in response to the "Western Development Strategy," emphasizing its value in providing a platform for communication on challenges related to special geotechnical conditions and geological disaster prevention in Northwest China. Subsequent reports focused on key topics such as landslides in the west and frozen soil mechanics. The conference also included 15 special topics, multiple reports, and a graduate student forum, providing participants with a platform for exchanging ideas on geotechnical engineering innovation.
At the conference, our company representative introduced Bodu Technology's independently developed and produced BD-GPR-U series deep geological radar, BD-BRD borehole radar, and BD-GPR-200 ground penetrating radar . These devices can detect the physical properties of special geotechnical conditions and permafrost, loess, and desert landforms in Northwest China, providing a scientific basis for engineering foundation design; they can efficiently identify geological hazards in areas such as steep slopes and deeply buried tunnels, safeguarding the safety of engineering construction in Northwest China; and they can investigate the burial environment of geotechnical cultural relics along the Silk Road, building a technological defense for cultural relic protection. These practical applications successfully attracted the attention of participants.
Through this conference, Bodu Technology systematically grasped the cutting-edge developments in the fields of special geotechnical conditions and geological disaster prevention in Northwest China, and clarified the application direction of new materials and intelligent detection technologies in geotechnical engineering. At the same time, the brand's influence in the field of geotechnical engineering testing has continued to grow, achieving synergistic development of technological understanding and market expansion.
In the future, Bodu Technology will increase R&D investment, optimize the application efficiency of equipment in permafrost exploration and loess engineering scenarios, promote the deep integration of ground penetrating radar technology with the needs of geotechnical engineering in Northwest China, and provide strong technical support for the safe and efficient construction of major western projects.
