From August 15 to 17, 2025, the 2025 Annual Academic Conference of the Engineering Geophysics Professional Committee of the Chinese Geophysical Society was grandly held in Taizhou, Zhejiang. This conference brought together hundreds of leading experts and scholars in the field of engineering geology, who engaged in in-depth discussions around three core themes: focusing on the new round of strategic initiatives for mineral exploration breakthroughs and leveraging technological innovation to open up new avenues in mineral prospecting; concentrating on urban geological safety risk prevention and control, exploring technologies for identifying and managing subsurface hazards; and delving into infrastructure sectors such as transportation, water conservancy, and new energy, addressing engineering‑geological issues like geological route selection and foundation assessment. The outcomes of these deliberations will provide technical guidance and practical insights for major projects, thereby supporting economic and social development and driving innovation across the industry.
At the conference, representatives from Volatility Technology highlighted three core devices that the company has independently developed and manufactured: BD-GPR-U Series High-Depth Ground-Penetrating Radar, BD-BRD Borehole Radar, and BD-GPR-600 Subsurface Imaging Radar 。 These devices can characterize the physical properties of soft soils, coastal sedimentary soils, and other special geotechnical materials, providing a scientific basis for subgrade design in the Yangtze River Delta.
